first of, this is just my opinion and im a fan of both fighters. hope posters here will be respectful with their replies and discuss this matter with intelligence


if cotto wants to remain as a champ, why not pay the sanctioning fees since he will be stripped of the title anyway if he doesnt. if hes really confident of beating pac, then why not put it on the line against him and defend it with ease?

you didnt answer my question. theyre fighting at 145, which is welterweight so why not put the belt on the line since its a welterweight bout anyway? to add that pac is now ranked #1 by the wbo?

its a welterweight fight because its within the limits but if the belt is to be on the line cotto should be allow to weigh up to 147...and pacquiao hasn't done anything really to be ranked number 1 by the wbo at welterweight...he beat oscar thats it..and i dont understand other then the wbo wanting to be part of history (manny's 7th title in 7th weight class)why they want to put the belt on the line..if manny actually does win he probably won't defend the wbo anyway so it going to be fought at catchweights from now on? everyone knocks mayweather that he shouldn't be lineal or high ranked at welter because he doesn't fight welters yet manny is ranked number 1 because he beat oscar de la hoya??? makes no sense..miguel should just say **** it put the belt on the line and it will give him more motivation to prepare well for this fight
