I don't see why the title should be on the line if the fight isn't at the WW limit (147). Along with Cotto getting only 30% of the purse, he shouldn't even bother. You gotta hold some type of bargaining chip instead of just giving into demands.

Truthfully, it's not THAT big a deal to me, but it's more of a principle thing. If Pacquiao and his team want the belt they should've just made it a full fledged WW fight (141-147). Obviously they're concerned with something for Cotto to come down in weight (even if it's 1-2lbs). Cotto's gotta show he's not the lesser of the two guys, but the WBO may have their say in the matter either way. One of the reasons why Boxing is where it's at today...the Bureaucracy. SMH...

bob arum is making way way more with this fight.. both fighters know this.. and thats the reason both of them are going to try to get the most.
Just like pac did ....bob arum .. paid him a side money... hes gonna have to do the same with cotto..
And he will do it, gladly. At the end he knows hes making way way more.. hes not gonna let this fight to get cancel for (peanuts)
nothing more nothing less.

I'll ask you this, why IS there a catchweight for this fight and not a full fledged WW fight? What is the point of having it at 145lbs? Is this suiting Pacquiao or Cotto?

pac and his team are the ones having self doubt here. If they really wanted to put the belt on the line why not make the fight at 147 and win it the right way. everyone on this site keeps saying how this is an easy ko for manny so why does roach care for 2 pounds. the boxing world will be shocked november 15th when cotto beats little pac man up. i just hope he gets full credit and we dont start hearing how pac was too small
