"I think it's a good fight and I'm glad we have something scheduled," Roach said. "The thing is we have the press tour that is going to start in September. The Puerto Ricans are great boxing fans and very knowledgeable.

"And the Filipinos, they are very proud of Manny. It makes for good excitement for the fight, and the fight is going to be in Vegas. Cotto won't have the Puerto Rican audience he would have in New York, but I think he will have a lot of people come out and support him for the fight." [details]

Wellll...... as you say, The Roach is "rife". Perhaps you mean "ripe". If so, I'd say he was "over-ripe".

Actually a fight between Hatton and Khan would be very interesting; although Hatton has much more experience, Khan is about 4 inches taller, much faster and is a power puncher, and it seems that Hatton has developed a very shaky chin.

He's never recovered from ramming his head into that corner-post in the Mayweather fight.

See, there again saying that Mayweather Promotions are the lead promoters for thsi fighgt but half the people on here want to act like there is not even such thing as Mayweather Promotions let alone them leading a big PPV event

It's GBP not mayweathers. Floyd sighned with GBP for 5 fights

Thats all bull****; i think they'll just continue helping him make his fights.

Can you really see him parting way with his money so GBP can get their cut?

They'll continue helping him make fights because Floyd dont know how to promote. He gave himself 15M guarantee but the fight didnt sell. He went to GBP for help. Now he wanted to ditch JMM because hes afraid to see the reality that nobody wants to see him fight.

That's who Floyd is. All talk.

Cotto

I think its pretty clear that one fighter (cotto) is on his way down and the other is at the top of his (pacman) game. the beating that cotto took in the margarito fight shows; he is a step slower. cotto's heart will keep him in the fight but pacman's speed will befuddle him, but i don't see a stoppage. cotto is a strong welterweight and pacman has never faced a fighter as strong as cotto. also, cotto made a concession with the weight which will hurt him in the long wrong

If you can't tell that Mayweather has a deal with GBP - one he's had since he signed Oscar - then you can't read the writing on the wall.
