I like this matchup and think, finally Valuev will have a live opponent that has the power to hurt him and possibly push him to the brink. However, I'm not going to get my hopes up that this fight will materialize; we've had so many let downs of proposed fights in the hw division this year and this could be yet another one..

finkel has been living off don king scraps for 15 years now & he'll say anything to try & coverup his own failure. After what appeared to be a done deal, boxing fans were stunned when David Haye announced on Wednesday that he declined a fight with Vitali Klitschko, and instead agreed to face WBA champion Nikolai Valuev. Klitschko-Haye was set down for September 12 in Frankfurt, Germany. The television deals were in place. A stadium that seats 55,000 fans was secured. Haye's date with Valuev is said to be November 7, in Germany. [details]Comment

Haye knows he had NO chance to beat either KiltschkO brother so he talked tough and then chicken out when they called his bluff...Last edited by Johnny Rebel; 07-24-2009, 10:20 AM.Comment

I think David Haye is trying to prove to the Klitschko's that that size doesn't matter. That he can knock-out a bigger boxer than the Kiltschko's are themselves. And that he's gonna knock-out Klitschko's the same way he's going to do it to Valuev.
 (Oh and uhh..I'm a big Klitschko fan.)Comment

Well, if you remember Haye DID sign the contract for the Wlad fight, and that contract included rematch options!!!

To those who say, that boxing is business first... Yes, you`re right, it is! But as i like Haye as a fighter, i want him to box more often instead of stripping for magazines and making curious t-shirts... Boxing is about money, but it is also about FIGHTING! And i haven`t seen that much from Haye recently...Last edited by Lacrimosa; 07-24-2009, 03:44 PM.Comment

Haye received a similar, perhaps worse deal.

Don King has options on Haye's next three fights, and he has to have a rematch with Valuev.

Let's be honest, he chickened out and went for an easier fight. Haye only fights when he's sure he can win.Comment

I have no problem with Haye not fighting the K-bros yet. The first fight was a no-go after he wasn't going to get paid and the ridiculous rematch clauses left him with no option but to seek other fights.Comment
