How good is Andre Dirrell? Does he have a shot at winning the tournament?

i think he has a good chance he is a very talented quick boxer with pretty good technical skill and power ,i have never seen his chin tested thats the only question i have about him.

why do you want him to win if you havent even seen him fight?

I never said I wanted him to win, just wondering if he has a shot.

For the record I'm not really going for anyone, I just want to see great fights and the best man win. Although if you put a gun to my head I'd say Andre Ward.

He's got a lot of skill. He's got some pop, and is real quick. The problem I've seen with him is that he seems to wilt when he can't put someone away. He'll dominate the first 5 rounds, and he'll have the guy going but he doesn't put him away, and than he plays it safe.

That's why I think Froch is a bad style matchup for him. He'll prob make Froch look ****** for the first few rounds, but Froch is gonna keep comin and comin, and I don't know if Dirrell can fight going backwards well enough to come out alive and with the W.

I think it'll look like Froch/Taylor...except I think Dirrell will be ahead by more and will get stopped earlier.

i think dirrells best chance against froch is to start fast and try and blow him out early,the longer the fight goes the more it suits froch,dirrell should take advantage of frochs poor defence and throw everything he has at him,not much worry about counters either-if that fails,well hes ****ed

i agree.....direll has dominated his past few opponents, but there all so overmatched.....put him in with top competition and hes in trouble.....if he cant get froch out there early hes getting ko'd...
