      Forget about Oscar.

These two aren't in his league.

They're a notch below. Packy has the heat so he should get more. But 65-35 is over valuing him and under valuing Cotto.

Cotto needs a better negotiating team around him.
overthinking it??? What fighter in the last 30 years of the sport has gotten 15mil not fighting oscar delahoya and not being the bigger draw in the fight. If you ask me Cotto's negotiating team got a goodass deal with that.

It doesn't matter what kind of a draw DLH was and that Manny will never be him. In promotion what matter is who is the bigger draw in THAT fight and there's no doubt it's Manny.

Cotto can't generate much by himself, meaning he can't just fight the avg guy and get huge numbers like DLH or Tyson. He needs a guy who people want to see him fight. Manny on the other hand, has a handfull of fights that will generate money, so Cotto is just one of many options.

The split was fair because when you look at it, it's probably the same amount of money Cotto would make if he was to fight some other fighter with less draw.

Same reason Mosley is calling for Manny, he's the ticket right now. In time the mega fight will be Mayweather and Manny if everything goes to plan.
          Really?

Did you know who Micheal Jennings was before Cotto fought him?

I don't think the average fan did and Cotto sold 12k+ tickets in MSG for the fight. Cotto has a fanbase. strong at that.

I've read comments from some Packy fans that sound very Mayweather-esque by saying "what does Cotto bring to the table"...

A whole island of devoted fans. Just like Packy.

Cotto's team obviously got Shanghaied by the dynamic duo of sleaze in Gacal and Arum.

They should have played hardball like Hatton did and bridged the gap. Packy was using Mosley as leverage but we all know that fight was never gonna happen. And he wasn't going to fight anyone at 40' either.

Cotto should have called their bluff and held out for a 55-45 split.

Lack of self respect on Team Cotto's part. On top of it all Cotto will have to come in at a catch weight....

Its ok though, Cotto will extract his pound of flesh from Packy in the ring.

              Justice will prevail.

miguel needs to pay his last HIGHPRICE

THOSE who have been following the game... means that those have been watching miguel cotto....

cotto have been gaining boxing fans respct step by step....

even that right now hes being label as a shot fighter.

that he lose with clottey shane margie... etc etc

that he eat a lot of punches....

              ppl are starting to recognize.....

pac should come up the winner.

That is how it looks on the paper......

and it can really happen like that because manny pacquiao... have been growing as a fighter steb by steb... much in a quicker way than cotto... but the same way.... ppl stop deniying pacquiao and they start realizing hey.. this man is for real....

              right now p4p...... #1 handsdown...

              ****

Last 25 Fights of miguel cotto... the red ones are those most of the ppl would consider the just mere victims by the time of the fight.

              Joshua clottey
              Antonio Margarito
              Shane Mosley
              Zab Judah
              Carlos Quintana
              Paul Malignaggi
              Ricardo Torres
              Mohamad Abdulaev
              De Marcus Corley
              Randal Bailey
              Kelson Pinto
              Lovemore Ndou
              Victoriano Sosa
              Carlos Mausa
              Demetrio Ceballos
              Cesar Bazan
              Justin Juko

all of them were consider good competition.. by the time they were fighting... one more than others.. but still contenders or close 2.

              Carlos Alberto Ramirez
              John Brown
              Ubaldo Hernandez
              Joel Perez
              Rocky Martines
              Gianluca Branco
              Oktay Urkal
              Alfonso Gomez
              Michael Jennings

he hasnt been playing around in his career..... the guy have been stepping up in competition in each fight.. and this one is not the exception.

Expect a great fight... cotto will have to pay a highprice in order to conquer the SPOT.

If he beats manny, for the rest of his career.. he will be looking for the big share always.

IDK what the problem is. Cotto was offered more money the lower in weight he went, HE HIMSELF said **** the money I'm not fighting below a weight will I look bad and have a higher chance of losing. Lets say Cotto wins this fight, he'll be the big name in boxing and make up the 4 or 5 million he didn't get this time. Either way it doesn't really matter, Mayweather is getting 15 mil for the Marquez fight and he's getting the bigger %, Cotto got a great deal as is.

And if you could read I acknowledge he should get more.

                    55-45 is the correct split.

65-35 shows a flagrant disrespect of Cotto.
^^obviously you ******* it doesn't cause Cotto accepted the deal. your a simpleton for not seeing beyond your own dumb reasoning cause obviously your nothing more than a fan.

who cares about the money split. your not getting any of it?
