    A true warrior never quits.

The fine line is whether or not you are a ***** or you are a warrior.

Example A: Oscar quitting over a fake body shot= ***** (fake warrior)

Example B: Margarito coming out for the 9th round for certain death= pure warrior.

A fake quits. A warrior goes out on his shield.

Thats why everyone is rocking Gatti sigs since his death.

Tough question. But, yeah, it should be on a case-by-case basis.

It's difficult. I think someone else mentioned this, but each boxer takes/reacts to punches in their own way. I don't think it's always obvious when someone is near death in the ring. Hell, if it was, a lot of tragedies could be prevented.

Hardcore and casual fans want KO's. When we're "robbed" of them, we tear into fighters for being quitters. But we also feel sadness when a boxer dies in the ring from taking too much punishment.

It's a fine line, if there ever was one...

Im gtonna call BS. For example: How was Freddie Roach supposed to know that Israel Vazquez couldn't breathe?

To sum it up no one who has never stepped in the ring should criticize someone and call them a quitter. People quit for different reasons. Some people are built to take a beating. Some aren't. People know there limits.

Thats why theres also ringside doctors that examine fighters at the end of every round and your trainer that knows their fighter better than anyone else in the arena. Its all their responsibilities to say when enough is enough. It's not something a fighter should ever be concerned about. It's not their job. Their job is to go out there and win.

Now if a trainer and/or doctor tells a fighter to hang em up and the fighter keeps fighting...that's a whole different story.

With life and death there is no fine line , when your number is up its up , in a boxing ring it can be one punch or a sustained beating when your time has come it dont matter if your in your lounge chair or a parachute .
