Of course, were Vitali to age overnight and actually be toppled/decisioned (everyone with a brain knows it's possible), his nadgerlickers would just say "Oh he was old, that wasn't a prime Vitali. It doesn't count". If Haye loses, there won't be any excuses because he's already the underdog - he'll either win somehow or get KTFO brutally. If Vitali loses, he's got an entire reputation to lose along with the title. What could be worse than losing to a "china-chinned hypejob bum"? :wnk1:

I'm surprised Vitali is actually taking the fight and not *****ing out and claiming "the need to fight a mandatory" just like he did last time and just like his *****hole brother is. Wlad should of fought Haye in July rather than the easy fight of Chagavez but did he? No, because he's a ***** and a coward.

      Haye FTW!

Erm, Haye was the one who pussied out in June and begged for a second chance in July like a *****. I don't see why Wlad should be messed around over and over again (by the likes of Haye and Povetkin), and not have the chance to fight his usual 3 fights a year.

Being relaxed and being fluid are two different things. I don't think Tyson or Mayweather are relaxed, they are fluid though. I think both Toney and Ali are both relaxed and fluid.

Witaly is definately relaxed not too fluid, but astonishing accuracy.
          Vitali Vs:

          Sam Peter 46%

Lennox Lewis 36% (Lewis was 46%)

          Danny Williams 46%

          Sanders 56%

          Kirk Johnson 49%

VK got close, but only hit that 50% mark once in the above fights, please do not over-egg the stats to make a case. Look at his style, think about the amateur style he employed, and do the math. This is boxing, not counting.

As mentioned pages ago, the Europeans adopted a near-fencing amateur style, perfect for scoring points. They used this style as pros, in the main, it is not fluid, not at all, but it can score points. You have somehow equated the claim that he is mechanical with punch stats and accuracy, that is nonsense, mechanical does not mean he does not land, if anything it means he is likely to land, sure it means he is predictable, but this is boxing, people need to hit back, so they need to get into range, and his reach does for them, hence the stats. People know what he does, but they need to overcome it, and they get hit trying to do so.

In one of those above fights, Lewis, he fought someone with near-equal range, his accuracy went down, as Lewis slipped and blocked some shots, and his face was ripped to shreds (by punches, not butts).

He went above 50% on Sanders, a fat golfer who had been semi-retired before blasting Wlad aside. Hardly the stuff of legend. Bear in mind, also, that in Williams, Johnson, and Peter he was taking on fat, limited, heavy bags.

Vitali, and Wlad for that matter, are good for these times, but overall they are quite poor. They disprove the Big + White = Can't Fight theory, to an extent, but they are mechanical, dull, and very much footnotes in the history of the division, Vitali will be a mere addendum to the career of Lewis. VK's biggest win was his loss to Lewis, as people were too ****** to realise that opening cuts via a punch, or two, leads to a TKO loss for the guy with the cuts. No controversy, no argument, VK took on a fat, unmotivated Lewis, who was slated to fight Johnson, hit him often and hard in the first two rounds, but still lost. That is a terrible 'legacy'.

Anyway, thanks for the reads guys, I've learned a thing or two, mainly that there appears to be someone out there who thinks Sam Peter < Ali!

So you have had no bets on boxing then is my guess

I'd actually be interested to see what the % was for Sanders in that fight against Vitali, because he sure as hell clacked him with a lot of flush shots.

Each to their own, but if a champ actually wants to defend more than once a year he should be perfectly entitled to. Plain and simply, Haye should've fought him in March.
