It's out of order referring to them as ****'s or the Hitler boys. They both seem like thoroughly decent blokes outside the ring. I think it happens because in these forums they seem to have a few hardcore racists as followers, such as Tunney/jd1986/carnivore(all same person) and Klitschko 2009 etc.

They certainly do make it a challenge to enjoy the brothers' work, eh? I've said it time and time again, but it's as if they don't realise how detrimental their fanboyism is to boxing in general. It does nobody any favours.

I mean, there are fans... and then there are nadgerlickers. Big difference. I don't even consider most of them to be fans, anyway. I highly doubt the brothers would enjoy having such people supporting them.

Don't want to jump into the racist debate guys, but I was at Wlad-Chagaev and found his fans to be welcoming, decent, normal, German folk, there may be a racist minority, but they are a bunch of idiots and are not to be taken seriously. Outside of the ring both men are a credit to the sport.

I think Haye will beat VK, I won't put my house on it, but I think he can do it, and am looking forward to going to Germany again

Ah, real fans - not a bunch of angry, bitter forumites who rely on cheap insults to appease themselves about their favourite brothers. :laff2:

The atmosphere started off good for the last one, fireworks, decent entrances, it was looking good, then something terrible happened, Wlad started to jab, and jab, and jab, I know you need to get them drunk before you mug them, but he was trying to lure the guy into a coma. Good event though. Haye-Macca had much better atmosphere on the night, as did the Barrett fight, though this was toned down a lot.

First of all: Let me thank you that you tried to address the issues of my post. That's very much appreciated.

You are the first, and I guess the last, that will claim that Wlad lost against Sanders because of being too unfluid. No, it wasn't chin, it wasn't stamina... it was being too unfluid.

I hope everytime someone posts "Sanders exposed Wlad's chin" you will jump in to counter-state "Oh, no no no. Had nothing to do with stamina or chin. It was because he wasn't the flying Clay".

I never stated anything of that sort. Anything can have a place in boxing. As long as it keeps you winning and is not illegal. But you cannot claim that a boxer has a bad style WHEN HE KEEPS WINNING.

Wlad and Valuev have 50+ fights. I wouldn't deduct anything from the few losses that you can count on 3 fingers. Especially since 1) Puritty was clearly a fluke 2) Sanders was a southpaw 3) Brewster is avenged and 4) Chagaev was a MD loss for Valuev.

Imagine a boxer would have 1 win and 50 losses. How in the world could you claim "He won because he is soooo fluid".

Yup, men have grown. And 190+ is 190+. We know exactly what 190+ is SINCE SUCH CRUISER MEN STILL EXIST THESE DAYS. So please don't use "men were smaller then" as a counter-argument.

Bigger+Heavier gives you approx a 3:1 advantage. Thus if you fight a bigger+heavier boxer your skills (= stamina+ speed+ reaction+ chin+ power etc) will have to be at least 2x better to win, as a general rule. That's why Tyson couldn't KO anyone taller than 6'3'' (except Lou Savarese) and bums:

He did not. He was plodding along like a dying bull. I already posted about this nonsense at:

Yet he won 2 times. Again, boxing is no dancing contest. Who cares whether you "struggled", especially since Toney seems to attract close decisions.

Yeah, keep comparing a heavyweight Toney to a 180lbs cruiser. And spare me the "Toney is an overweight middleweight". The divisions are divided by weight and not by "women's drool quantity"

Ali has a better record than Peter for sure. But as a heavy he was nevertheless plodding along like Sam Peter.
