I think this fight is bigger then any of these fights i mentioned because we dont know what will happen. We knew hoya would lose to floyd, we knew pacquiao would expose overrated hatton, we knew mayweather would beat hatton but we dont know what will happen pac vs cotto, thats what makes this fight so big. They need hype the **** out of this fight, biggest fight of 09. Im predicting it does 2 mil buys. Im predicting floyd vs marquez wont even do a mil. So much for floyd being the cash cow!
    Are you crazy.

It's a better fight than all of them, that's for sure. But they will need to market this fight religiously, more than a 3 city tour. Even then, it won't touch DLH v Floyd. Floyd played the villian just right

You never know though, Margarito v Cotto did over 500k with minimal marketing. We'll see. I just hope neither KOs one another too early. If it goes past 6, I'll be happy. My wife and I are already planning a nice big party

In terms of pure boxing level,I think this is a bigger fight. The PPV numbers wont be bigger than Delahoya/Mayweather,but,quality of fight, bigger for sure. You have two guys who are primetime,as opposed to Delahoya/Mayweather where you had one guy past his prime, and another who hadn't really fought anybody.

Absolutely not...these are the fights we ask for while complaining about Floyd not fighting this or that guy. Now we have 2 guys who legitimately want to fight one another. What more can you ask for?

And I think Pacquiao vs Cotto is going to trump Floyd vs JMM in PPV sales
I think it will do more than Floyd/JMM too, but it might not do more than Pacman/hatton in as far as sales.

And my first thought is that this fight will not be that competitive. If cotto is Cotto then I don't think Manny can stand a chance. He don't have the skillset to overcome that weight and power of Cotto at 147. But will Cotto be the guy that was at 147..... and he has been at a decline. i'm buying it though!

Sales wise it wont even beat Hatton/Pac let alone Dela Hoya (mainly him) vs Floyd..

Will be a better fight tho

I can see the fight being bigger in USA than Pac/Hatton. Not worldwide sales, but I see no reason that it can't beat Pac/Hatton in the USA
