This fight is potentially historical just cuz Pac is challengin for a 7th division title. But that's it.

Money wise it was Mayweather vs. DLH. I don't think this PPV will top it. As far as the prospect of a great fight goes this is the biggest out of those.

I think this fight is bigger then any of these fights i mentioned because we dont know what will happen. We knew hoya would lose to floyd, we knew pacquiao would expose overrated hatton, we knew mayweather would beat hatton but we dont know what will happen pac vs cotto, thats what makes this fight so big. They need hype the **** out of this fight, biggest fight of 09. Im predicting it does 2 mil buys. Im predicting floyd vs marquez wont even do a mil. So much for floyd being the cash cow!

Pac-Cotto is pretty good though.

pacquiao has been recognized by the mainstream media since the hatton fight. the cotto fight would put up decent numbers imo..

i don't think it would make de la hoya- type numbers though.

You guys forget, look at all the work that was put into promoting Floyd vs Oscar. Pacquiao vs Cotto won't have the glamor and glitz Oscar vs Floyd's preparation did, but is that going to take away from the fight? Absolutely not...these are the fights we ask for while complaining about Floyd not fighting this or that guy. Now we have 2 guys who legitimately want to fight one another. What more can you ask for?

And I think Pacquiao vs Cotto is going to trump Floyd vs JMM in PPV sales
