I think Arum and De La Hoya are eventually going to go back to hating each other. You know each promoter will take turns bashing each of the big fights they've got going on. And I wonder what Emmanuel Steward is going to say on 24/7 if he is going to train Cotto. It will be funny to hear him say how one-dimensional he thinks Pacquiao is. He would be a good addition to the show even though he has appeared on a lot of the Countdown shows even giving opinions as an analyst of fights he's not involved in where being a trainer is concerned.

ONE DIMENSION...THAT WAS LIKE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO..EMMANUEL STEWARD after the HATTON/PACQUIAO fight said that PACQUIAO's got it all..head movement, foot movement..throws in so many different angles. I will say that PACQUAIO is not the typical fundamental boxer, but when **** works for him why change it, thats what makes PACQUIAO who he is...a complicated fighter to plan for....With that said...one dimensional fighter...DARCHINIYAN....can't even believe that piece of **** made lb4lb TOP TEN in consideration.

People will be suprised about the non-competitiveness of this fight. Cotto has too many things working against him. That cut probably won't be fully healed by the time the fight comes off, and even if it does, I wouldn't be suprised to see it opened up again by a head clash given the fact that Pacquiao is a Southpaw. A punch could re-open it too. And I don't know how much Emmanuel Steward can really help Cotto. He usually does his best work with tall fighters.

The way to even have a chance at beating PACQUIAO is to be a great counter puncher, many have said in the past that PACQUIAO is weak in the body that he is not good when he backs up...HATTON pressured him and threw his body punches...we all know what happened. The only fighter that I see that will give PACQUIAO fits is PAUL WILLIAMS....his volumes of jabs alone will give PACQUIAO problems...With that said...to beat PACQUIAO you have to be a great counter puncher and Live off your jab TO keep him at bay.

Finally! And this is a good thread! Wow, refreshing after reading so many troll filled threads about this fight. I don't mind somebody rooting for their fav fighter, it's when people make it personal and the name calling and **** talk starts that turns me off.

I hope to see more good threads like this. Even though I'm obviously a cotto fan, I have a LOT of respect for Manny, and you have never seen me **** talk him or say he's going to lose. I like Manny, and he is a monster, and you have to respect that love of his for being in a ****storm fight. I have never seen a boxer with so much love of just being in a fight...the more intense and violent it gets, the more he loves it.

On the other hand Cotto is a 3 time world champ of which the likes that Manny has not yet faced. He's a real beast that hits very hard and fast, thinks on his feet and has a deadly left hook that has sent more than one boxer to the canvas with one liver shot.

Her's to hoping we have a long, fair, entertaining fight, and may the best man win!

He's a great fighter and either guy can win. i just hope it goes awhile, us fans get our moneys worth, and nobody gets seriously hurt. But one man will lose. I will actually feel bad for either guy. They both deserve to win. Both are true warriors.

I'm more of a Pac fan but I still see this fight as a pick em. Cotto is a great fighter and we will never know if Pac's speed or Cotto's size and strength will
win the fight until they duke it out there, that's why they fight the fights. I say this without any bias that Cotto should be the slight favorite, but early Vegas odds says otherwise. It's too early to tell, but I'm sure the odds will even out as fight draws near...

Thanks God I have not buy airplane tickets for NYC on October 10th... I might be going to Las Vegas on NOV 14th after all... I need to talk to my wife, let her choose, JuanMa in NYC vs. Cotto in Las Vegas....

Pacman will be very sorry for accepting this fight against Cotto. Pacquiao will note the difference in punching power every time when he gets hit. One thing very sure, Cotto is much better than Diaz, De la Hoya, and Hatton. Remember one thing; De la Hoya was at the end of his boxing career. Cotto will destroy Pacquiao in 6 rounds; I am going to start getting ready for this fight. I will be in Las Vegas having good time; very sure, I will bet in favor of Cotto, I know those gurus called expert will vote to Pacman, but that’s okay, better for me, more money.

Im going with and staying with Miguel Cotto. I saw some things in the Clottey fight that I didn't like , such as a flat footed and head hunting Cotto. I dont think that Manny would have iced Clottey nor do i think he would beat Clottey. This fight is a pick em although a lot folks are going with Manny based on his tremendous streak that he's been on, Cotto will be able to box smart and wear Manny down as teh fight progresses.

I will not be shocked if Cotto runs into a Manny left hand and loses all balance like the Corley fight. The fight comes down to who can negate the others strengths, can Cotto negate Manny's speed and can Manny negate Cotto's body attack, I will stay firm and say Cotto will negate Manny's speed and pull it out in a hard fought and tactical 12 rd decision with a mixed crowd reaction.

I am very happy this fight is already official. Mosley cried like a girl for months without getting anything. Gayweather tried to cancel for the second time with Marquez, but at the end did not work it out like the first time. Now the little girl Gayweather taking a chance to lose with smaller fighter, but a real man and a warrior, not a ***** like Gayweather that the only thing he did in his boxing career was to run from a real challenge. I hope Marquez KO Gayweather.
