Back in the day the ref didn't even make the other boxer go to a corner why his opponent got back up, so basically one knockdown was all you got. Now we have a more civilized referre who gives an someone ten seconds to get up or 8 seconds on their feet and we have more people dying.

Nady was following the guidelines that have been set out for the referees regarding fighters that go down twice from one punch.
That is exactly the right reason. I would have called the fight at the time. Looking at how fast he recovered (enough to go and choke Jay Nady) he may have been okay to continue but he may have been clobbered again had he let him continue. But refs don't have the benefit of hindsight. I think Jay Nady generally calls a good fight. Zab may not agree however!

judah recoverd quickly once he got to his feet. the round was over when he went down, if it would have been allowed to continue then zab would have had a full minute to recover which i think would have been more than enough considering the way he was acting just after the fight was over. he was hurt no doubt about it but not THAT hurt, he went down a second time cause he jumped up to fast. his fault but it sucks he had to lose the fight that way, alot of people say the fight would be the exact same if they fought again but i disagree. i would still give judah a good chance especially now that he has tasted tszyu's big power and would be more cautious than ever

Only one way to find out. And damn I hope we find out. I am a Tsyzu fan but I have a little more respect for Zab now after the Spinks fight. I don't think the outcome will change just the round. He won't get clocked early again. It may even go to a decision.

If he can stay away from the right hand and play the counter-puncher...he'll win a UD.

Stoppages these days somewhat even themselves out when you look at the number of early/late stoppages. Some are a bit on the early side and some are pathetically late. A good example of a bad late stoppage was the Yanqui Diaz/Sam Peter fight. It was clear that Diaz was going nowhere...that **** should have been over after the 3rd or 4th KD.

The last fight I can think of when there was an early or questionable stoppage was the Taylor/Chavez bout and Leonard/Hearns I.

WORD! i'd rather see a guy able to fight again, it's too risky sometimes to let a fight go on, when a guy can't protect himself anymore it's time to stop
