Enzo Maccarinelli Denies Reports of His Retirement

Enzo Maccarinelli has rubbished reports linking him with a premature retirement. The Welshman said he was 'done' in the immediate aftermath of his third-round loss to Denis Lebedev, only to then tell BBC Wales, and BoxingScene.com, that he is thinking about his next step, and that he will not rush into a hasty decision. If he gets it mentally right and puts in a lot of work I think he can make something of himself..

        But we'll have to see.

The next time he fights, if he cannot produce a top display. Then he'll just have to retire.

Big deal. He might as well walk anyway. He's done.

Now this is a guy that needs to retire. 3 KO losses in his last four fights and most of them were to average opposition. Where is there left to go now? I can understand people calling for his retirement based on this.

People calling for Ricky Hatton to retire after losing only twice to the P4P best fighters in the world at the time, and with the second fight over too quick to make a proper judgement on what he has left - now that I can't understand.
