I can't understand some people's way of thinking. This fellow has fought for world titles and is now a bum? The people he's lost to are no mugs. The three men he's lost to only have two losses between them. Lebedev knocked out a guy Wladimir Klitschko fought a few years back. These fighters are not club fighters. This is top level boxing. Enzo is doing something only a small percentage of fighters do. Some of you need to get out and take a few gulps of air and consider reality.

I don't even really like Enzo that much from what I've seen - he seems a bit of an arrogant tosser - but he's still a decent boxer who's achieved a thing or two. I'm you lot would be proud as hell if he were a family member or something.

          Agreed.

What people need to understand is that losing is part of boxing. Yes, Macca lost, but to top CW fighters, no reason to retire. Lebedev and Afolabi will make noise in the division.

Although I think he won't be able to beat the top dogs in the division, about 12 names, he can still be sucessfull, as he already was, and guys like Fragomeni and Arslan were too. Just need to make the right decisions.

Macca is in a bad moment in his career, he failed to see that and went directly to another tough, dificult fight and a bad matchup for him, trying to go back to the mix fast. Well, it backfired, but he did keep it competitive till he got caught with that counter. Best thing now is to settle down a bit, restart with smaller fights, maybe spend some time on the domestic level, to build confidence and improve some skills.

Macca is a good fighter, but his punch resistance is awfull, plus his ordinary hand speed and short lenght don't help him either. He's been looking like B level bc of that chin and that's how his career will probably continue if he decides to carry on.

He should take the rest of the year to rethink his career and consider his options.

it wasnt that he lost that made me think he's finished, it was the way he fought.
He looked like he didnt even want to be there from the start, and barely tried to win.

If he cant sort himself out he needs to retire. like u said his punch resistance isnt great so he could get badly hurt, even fighting someone not very good if he fights with that kind of attitude again.

Maccarinelli has nothing left. When this lebedev hurt him the first time in the 3rd round, enzo looked he didn't want to know. He hasn't even trying to fight back, he just had his gloves up.

Yeah, he was a world-champ but in all honesty he was fed bums by uncle frankie. As soon as he stepped up he was exposed, badly. If he wants to come back he should consider fighting a few bums just to gather some momentum, he should have fought a few guys before this lebedev. This fight wasn't even competitive!
