As far as i can remember wasnt eubank unbeaten going into the collins fight? That says to me he wasnt over the hill. As for avoiding calzaghe, i could be wrong but i seem to remember something about collins wanting jones but for some reason having to fight calzaghe, going into training for calzaghe and then collapsing in training and having to retire on medical advice after headaches?

So he went after RJJ knowing that it would be his last fight. Obviously thought he'd get a big pay day, but after RJJ said no Collins decided to retire instead of face Calzaghe.
