Ain’t Too Proud To Beg: Mosley’s Manny Mission Plays On

By Jake Donovan - Somewhere in the 8 ½ year period between career-best wins over Oscar de la Hoya (June 2000) and Antonio Margarito (January 2009), you’d think that Shane Mosley would’ve eventually found a way to become the bank instead of waiting on line at one.

Yet here Mosley stands, atop the welterweight division and high amongst most pound-for-pound lists, but still anxious to fill the B-side in efforts to score a major payday against Manny Pacquiao. [details]

What is it about Pacquiao that Mosley wants to fight him so bad? It can't just be the money. Mosley must really see something he thinks will make the fight easy.

SSM is str8 foolish for this. If this fight gets made at 140 he's gettin KTFO.

I think in Shane's mind, he sees a Pacquiao win as a direct path to the mythical P4P throne - of course, in addition to the money. But make no mistake, the money is a very big part of it.

I think Shane feels that Pac won't be able to hurt him at any weight. If he is somehow able to get to 140lbs then he might be right.

Mosley should give it a rest. He should just get it on with Berto or Williams.

It won`t happen at 140. If ever, Pac seeks a 7th weight title, and Mosley is just sarcastic, knowing full well he will never get a Pac fight at this point in time.
