You are 100 percent right. Froch tried to box with Taylor, and didn't really change up to walk down mode until about the 8th round.

Froch ain't as busy and don't use the same kinda body attack and uppercuts in close. He is a come forward volume puncher wit a good chin tho.

But I see Carl Froch ( who i really appreciate now) as an English version of Antonio Margarito.

Unorthodox yet effective, great at cutting the ring off, great stamina, granite chin, sneaky power and sneaky punches that are more evident in the replays than they may be in real time...just an all around badass, fan friendly, pressure fighter with underrated technique and thudding power.

And they both seem like affable guys you'd like to have a pint with.

          Am I wrong?
Yup, Margarito had "sneaky power" alright, until someone noticed it...

I think Froch has to keep some distance, so he has time to pull back, since he doesn't keep his hands up. This limits his punch output, because he's not always in range. Margarito plows in with his hands up and is much more comfortable in close, because he's blocking more with his guard.

Both exciting, action, gutsy fighters with solid chins and aggressive styles, though.

I read the title and took it as an insult to Froch, apparently Im in the minority.
