    Antonio Margarito and Carl Froch

    Call me crazy.

But I see Carl Froch ( who i really appreciate now) as an English version of Antonio Margarito.

Unorthodox yet effective, great at cutting the ring off, great stamina, granite chin, sneaky power and sneaky punches that are more evident in the replays than they may be in real time...just an all around badass, fan friendly, pressure fighter with underrated technique and thudding power.

And they both seem like affable guys you'd like to have a pint with.

Not crazy at all. Their styles are nearly identical except Froch doesn't punch quite as much.

Froch is a good fighter and a lot better than what a lot of people make him out to be. But why did Margarito go all soft after that victory over Cotto is what I want to know?

Margarito said he had troubles rehydrating and going back up in weight for fight night. It's what he said, not me. He could be makin excuses but who knows?

Sorry Poon, I don't see it all that much. Margs is a deadly accurate puncher, and has a killer uppercut. Froch is sloppy, telegraphs his uppercuts with a long-distance letter, and has really crappy footwork. Margs bounces around and really hunts down.

That was the victory that "made him"...he got carried away, fat and took Shane Mosley lightly...

                    The man will be back.
