Could Roy Jones Jr. Return As A Heavyweight?

Now that Roy Jones Jr. has suffered two devestating losses at Light Heavyweight many people say "Well it's a good thing he didn't stay at Heavyweight imagine what a Heavyweight would have done to that chin."...ok that is a valid point...BUT another valid point is this...Roy Jones was successful in the past due to his super speed and reflexes...it appears that he has slowed down a little making it easier for opponents to hit him...this certainly appears true at Light Heavyweight. Roy no longer has a big speed advantage over Middleweights or Light Heavyweights...BUT judging from the Ruiz fight it appears that Jones does have a super speed advantage over the slow lumbering Heavyweights that thrive in that division. True if one of these slow lumbering Heavyweights connects solid on Jones it will be lights out all over again...but what is also true is-they can't knock out what they can't hit. Could Roy Jones Jr. return as a Heavyweight and be successful?

I personally think he's finished. If he does go back to heavyweight, he needs to be very selective about the opponents he faces. Wait, he's been doing that his whole career....

I don't think he will, but it wouldn't be a bad idea. The bottom line is that it would be best for him to end his career with a rematch agaist either Toney or Hopkins, and Hopkins would have to make a weight jump first.

No, he's totally right. Even if you love Jones you have to admit he is very selective, even he says he is. When you are the man, why risk it for not a lot of money?

I'd like to see him beat Ruiz again and then retire. Toney would be a great fight too but he has less of a chance there.

i personally don't think he could. His reflexes are not what they used to be. And coming off of two devastating ko's, I wish he would stop fighting period. I would hate to see him get seriously hurt. The way he got ko'ed both times was ugly. Once a guy gets hurt that bad, it's hard to ever fight the same..escpecially for a guy who never got hit for 12 previous years.

its not a very good idea to go to heawyweight, he should go back to lightheavy, his reflexes are not the same but still enough to get glencoff and tarver....His combos are still brutal...
