I agree that JuanMa would take those belts off Caballero...but I doubt this is a publicity stunt...Why make the A-side look like a *****...That doesn't make sense...he's not garnering any sympathy...he looks like a uber-***** and is turining off his fanbase and makeing Caballero look like he's got balls the size of melons.
Caballero: “Juanma Will Never Be Like Trinidad, Cotto”

I think Caballero is beatable, but man I have to give him credit for having the attitude he does. He has went in a lot of his opponents' backyard and won like JReckoning mentioned. And that deserves credit. It seems like fighters like Juan Ma and even Cotto up to an extent don't want to go outside of their comfort zone. This is the thing that guys like Calzaghe and Ottke got bashed for. Cotto and Juan Ma need to be willing to fight in other places besides the East Coast and Puerto Rico, or else their fan bases won't get expanded. That is why Manny Pacquiao is a global attraction. I realize the casinos aren't where the money is at in a lot of cases. But great champions should always be willing to go outside of their element. Caballero gets props from me for that.Comment

You guys need to understand that the fight will happen on Oct 10th at MSG, NYC. This is a publicity stunt to gather interest in the latino community to fill up the MSG. Gamboa will fight in the undercard, maybe against Luveano. That will make an argument to sell out the MSG.
Caballero has not fight in the US during his last 5 fights. Only hardcore fans know the poor bastard. Caballero can't fill up a place anywhere in the US, maybe a highschool basketball gym.
Just wait and see that I am right. And when the fight gets announce, I am going ALL IN against any takers. JuanMa will take both belts and then move up in weight. Fight Gamboa sometime in 2010 unless Izzy and Marquez decide to fight JuanMa before retiring...

JuanMa just made a big stain in his reputation department. Whether he fights Celestino or not we ALREADY know now that it wasn't willingly. He tried to give and excuse by saying that Caballero doesn't draw much money.. then Caballero pulled his card by saying, "so I don't draw much money but the guy with 12 losses does right?". OWNED.
JuanMa already made himself a Mrs... there is no turning back now.
If he does fight Celestino it will only be because of peer pressure not cuz he really wanted too.
Celestino is a true champ for looking to go and fight Gerry IN the Phillipines... JuanMa needs to take some risk... who the **** does he think he is??? he must think he is some sort of big name in boxing.. no casual fans even know this guy. Then the million dollar thing... Why would anyone pay JuanMa 1 million.. he has no clue what his value is. Even Andre Berto having all the backing by HBO and the WBC belt wasn't going to make that money fighting with Sugar Shane at Welter. At his weight class that money doesn't exist.. no one is going to pay millions to watch midgets (celestino excluded 5'11). The smallest that people care to see to an extent is lightweight.
This guy needs some advice..Comment

This isn't about Cotto, but if you're gonna say that notice that Cotto has fought outside of "his comfort zone" when he fought Margarito in Las Vegas, and will fight Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas, if it's anyone not fighting out of his confort zone it's Manny Pacquiao since almost all his fights have been in the west coast (Las Vegas and California), Texas and the Phillipines, your argument about that being the cause of his global attraction fails.Cotto and Juan Ma need to be willing to fight in other places besides the East Coast and Puerto Rico, or else their fan bases won't get expanded. That is why Manny Pacquiao is a global attraction. I realize the casinos aren't where the money is at in a lot of cases. But great champions should always be willing to go outside of their element. Juan Mamacita is a classic; hopefully, CC reads this so he can use it in his next verbal assault.
