      same day weigh ins.

a middle weight back then is a welterweight now.

Margarito for example would be a middleweight.

Perhaps, even with same day weigh ins

Lets see, in my city at fights we weigh in at about 9 or 10am and fight at like 6-10pm, i think ive put on about 6-8 lbs after a weigh in once

Of course fighters would have rehydrated. Not by as much but of course some boiled down.

Doesn't change the fact Armstrong is a freaking legend. I mean going from feather to welter to lightweight and holding all three WORLD TITLES at once is bordering on a joke. Loosing a valiant effort for the MW world title after being outweighed by 20lbs is also obscene.

              ****!

castillo when he was at 135 was bigger than cerefino when armstrong challenged him for the middleweight belt.

margarito would be a light heavyweight.

Some boxers such as Jake LaMotta did. He probably came in at around 168-170 lbs to his fights.

Armstrong's opponents for the most part weighed as much in the ring as they weighed in at. So did Armstrong when he fought at featherweight, he was not a big featherweight by any means. He said he ate his way to 135-140 lbs.
