B-Hop got around Winky's guard, he got up close and landed to both the head and body. Khan, just wasn't accurate.
Amir Khan is not Bernard Hopkins. Any other fighter would have done worse, If Khan wanted better accuracy then he'd have to stay in one place and fire off dedicated shots. Not an option when you have a chin like Khans.
To be fair Kotelnik has good defense. Khan however was not able to land anything of substance in this fight. I'm not saying he didn't win because those flashy combinations of his kept Kotelnik from doing anything all night. He outworked his opponent, plain and simple, and showed toughness that had been previously questioned.
I can say this though, if this fight had been in Germany where clean punches count the most and blocked punches count for nothing, Khan would've been in trouble.
I've watched a lot of Khan and his accuracy really isn't that good. He likes to punch at the gloves, which has won him most of his fights so far, but it's something he should try to improve on.
He clearly won, even if he was in Germany he should have won. Kotelnik wasn't doing anything at all.
If it was in Germany though he'd HAVE to KO Kotelnik, you aren't winning a decision there.
It doesn't its actually pretty good, It was horrible in the Kotelnik fight because of Kotelniks high guard, Khan didn't want to hook around the guard otherwise he would've got caught (as Roach pointed out post-fight)
It's like Winkys guard, you have to overwhelm it not get around it.
i think his workrate was very good...and he was moving a lot...but his accuracy could have been better by hittin kotelnik underneath his high guard for good body punches
