I hope that is true. The sport and Kirkland's fans missed out on opportunities to see really great fights. His story was legit, and his trainer Ann Wolfe is a very interesting character.

I think Kirkland would have been eventually outboxed, but he could have beat most competition in the 154 and 160 lb divisions.

Well I guess we won't see Kirkland in a ring again for a few years. What a way to throw your career in the toilet.

This guy is such an idiot, what the hell is wrong with him?? He doesn't sound like an idiot, or a thug, doesn't look like one, has some great people around him as far as character goes with Ann Wolfe, so what the hell is wrong with him? So ******, who knows how far he could have gone, what a ****** waste. Even if he comes back and still makes something of himself he'll never get this time back, it's gone. Lost a ton of money in potential purses. Even if he's only in prision for a year, it'll be at least another before he gets back in shape, and takes a fight or two, so you're talking like a minimum 3 years before he's, potentially, back on the national boxing stage. And that's if he doesn't decide it's more important to go try and buy another gun first, what a waste.

Ann Wolfe is going to beat that ass.

He's lucky to be going to prison for a few years. Should be safer in there and will give Wolfe time to cool off a bit.
