Where Were The CatchWeights When Floyd...?

That doesnt even make sense. Floyd wasnt ever a WW. He was just a guy with good enough skills to fight there. Anyone else his size wouldve got slaughtered at WW and definatly at 154. My point is that Floyd & Pac are basically the same size wether you want to admit it or not. Floyd just never killed himself to lose weight. Again, weve had the pre fight stuff on here where Floyd fought Zab. They showed him at 146 on fight night while weve had the same thing show Pac at 147 on fight night for a 130 pound fight. Stop trying to make it sound like Floyd is this huge cat fighting guys his own size while Pac is a little guy trying to fight the big studs. The real truth is Floyd is the smaller guy in nearly every fight and in most fights he's the much smaller guy while until recently, Pac was the much bigger guy in alot of fights. Even when he did fight supposedly bigger guys in Hatton & Oscar, he was still only outweighed by 1 pound in the ringFloyd was at welterweight for three years though.
Pac has gone up four weight classes in less than 2 years.
So it's unrealistic to demand Pac fight welterweights when first off he's not even a welterweight himself (Floyd was and is), and of course Pac just moved up to 140.Comment

Cool this is all very true but i don't get why he cant fight at 147 vs a berto, Cintron etc as a tune up. I don't think it would be any worse revenue wise than Marquez/Floyd the way things are going.3 reasons why I think he doesnt come down for JMM. I talked about one of them already. JMM & Nacho were both idiots and basically volunteered to fight him at WW right from the jump. 2nd, Floyd had an interview a couple of years ago where he said when a fighter takes a long break, he will find it much harder to make the same weight when he comes right back. He said a guy may make a certain weight very easily but if he takes a long break and comes back then he will struggle super hard to make that same weight. 3rd and most importantly, I think he feels that he will still have some more fights at WW so I dont think he wants to come down to 140 and then try to go back to WW because then I think guys like Mosley or Cotto would be a shock to his system. Im actually not all that thrilled about him going down to 144 for that same reason. He's so small that if he's going to fight any at WW then Id rather him stay there instead of going down and trying to come back up, which will make him seem even smaller. On the flip side, maybe his retirment has finally helped him put on some real weight and he starts coming into the ring at 155 or so. If he does that then no one at WW can touch him. He'll still be the smallest one but he'll be able to easily compete at that sizeComment
