“I have started serious training and promise to become a world champion again,” he said in plain words at the offices of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Abdul Rashid Pelpuo, yesterday.

Clottey mounts the ring against the Pomona - California boxer, after bowing to Miguel Cotto in America, a few months ago.

Actually, he's just like Zab in that regard. Zab was beating up Floyd at one point too if you let him tell it.

You're right, he was beating Baldomir up. So what happened?

He had Margarito in trouble then "hurt his hands" and stopped throwing. Making it a point to tell everyone in press row that he hurt his hand while he was still fighting.

And yes he was on the verge of upsetting Cotto and decided to coast. Real hungry fighter there.

        Color me unconvinced.

This is clear duck, the man does not want part to do with American fighters. Ducked Williams and Berto and chooses Clottey who is coming off a loss

I still can't believe Clottey lost to Margarito...

I'm definently bettin with some of ya'll on this one...

I'm favoring Clottey but I have a feeling this decision could be controversial...

Say what you want. Baldomire won by a bogus DQ ina fight Clottey dominated. That was a robbery from a ****** British ref. Margarito got lucky the mans hand broke, what you think he stopped throwing for the hell of it? and Cotto lost that fight.

LOL, at Zab beating up Floyd. He was definitely the faster man in the first 4 rounds, but beating up Floyd? LOL.

Clottey is a dirty figher. It's no secret. I'm sure Clottey would even agree. He's just a rugged fighter.
