Calvo had one hell of a chin,
he got hit with shots that put the likes of Augie Sanchez in Hospital but he stood strong and went the 12 rounds
Those fans paid for entertainment, that fight was perhaps one of if not the most boring fight Hamed was involved in, he didn't let his hands go much at all. I don't like booing fighters but I understand why the fans did what they did.

I remember he was filming a documentary during camp for the barrera fight Little Prince Big Fight or something like that and i was taken slightly aback by it . They also showed some clips of barrera and he was in great shape . I give full credit to barrera for the win but i certainly think hamed would have given a much better showing (or might have won imo) of himself had he properly trained for this fight.
I don't know why people still tlak aout Princess Nazeem after all these years. When he fought Barrera he was a t his peak of his career. Many picked him to upset Barrera and even knock him out.

What Barrera did is something he would have done 100 times over if they fough that many times. Barrera showed what a superior boxer with intelligence can do to a fighter that has nothing but speed and power.

That's why it's the sweet science, because it isn't about whos the fastest or stronger puncher it's about who's the better boxer.

Nazeem was all flash and no substance. He relied on his power so much that when he was presented for the first time against a world class guy like Barrera he was embarassed. Because that's what it was an embarassment...

Naz is the most overrated fighter and the biggest "would have been" that people still talk about.

regardless if he was hyped (which i know he wasn't)...he still did what all boxing greats and critics claim boxers need to do...create an entertaining fight and give the crowd and millions at home their money's worth...he was the king of that ****...

anyone know why exactly he didnt?
                And what is excuse was??
because ala told him to retire.

Seriously even though the fightw as interesting I feel Nas really only liked to demean lesser skilled opponents rather than face the most dangerous.

he looked pretty bad against barrera and didnt want to consider a fight with any of the head honchos. his time was done

Naseem was favourite going into the Barerra fight,
                  Barerras win was an upset.

Your obviously just dont like naz or your a barerra nuthugger,
anybody who seen a prime naz in action knows that he would of battered barerra,
he had no interest in the sport at that stage.
I thought a loss like that would off woken him up and got him back training hard but obviously not.

You're missing the point. The guy accused Nas of drink driving without substantiating his claim.

His Calvo fight was his comeback fight but he put in a fairly boring performance, despite getting a shut out decision. I think after he realised he couldn't entertain the people anymore he decided to pack it in.

If he was was focused, didn't have the distractions, stayed with his original trainer and didn't change to Steward then he probably could have beaten Barrera. But the lifestyle clearly got to him and Steward was a bad trainer choice.
