Would you rather have 20 Title Defenses with the "IBF" or "WBO"

Somewhat agree. WBO doesnt mean much. Until recently, I believe the IBHOF didnt even consider WBO in its working.like serious, A lot of Calzaghe nuthuggers say a fighter makes a belt. blah blah blah and all that bull**** to try to say the WBO belt is as good as the WBC, WBA, and IBF. Then they point out that Cotto and Clottey was for the WBO, but you everybody knows Cotto will try to unify for the MAJOR belts sooner or later, then keep the weak **** WBO belt for years.
I mean would you keep the WBO belt for ten years without trying to unify? Is that even greatness??
Or would you keep the IBF for ten years without unifying? It's a Major belt and having that belt for so long is greatness in itselfComment

One alphabet belt is as worthless as another. Arguing about which is less worthless is akin to debating whether to have your right leg or left leg amputated. The IBF is actually only five years older than the WBO, and has a far more squalid history of corruption. Their former president Bob Lee is still in prison.like serious, A lot of Calzaghe nuthuggers say a fighter makes a belt. blah blah blah and all that bull**** to try to say the WBO belt is as good as the WBC, WBA, and IBF. The only time a long string of defences actually means something is when they're of the undisputed title, like Joe Louis. The records set by Hopkins, Calzaghe, Holmes, Ottke et al pale by comparison.Comment

The WBO is a contender's belt.
It's not meant to be held for years on end.
Until Joe and Margarito NOBODY held the WBO for any length of time.
NOBODY with a WBO considered themselves a real cham until those clowns hit the scene.Comment

You got that right.
Joe's WBO defenses have been HILARIOUS.
Tokker Pudwell...did NOTHING to earn a title shot..because the WBO is NOT a real title.
The WBO takes it's "champions" off the WBC...IBF...WBA..rankings.
Therefore..it has become a REFUGE for fighters that don't want to fight anybody worth a ****.Comment

16 out of 20 is deceptive, as is using The Ring as criteria for anything.
Robert Allen represents 3 of the 16.
Oscar was a ranked MW based on one bull**** win over Felix Sturm.
John David Jackson being a Top 10 MW when he fought Hopkins just speaks volumes of The Ring's laziness when it comes to filling out their monthly rankings.
And seriously... Carl Daniels was ranked when he fought Hopkins? Or do I have the wrong four that weren't ranked (Scott Frank, Bo James, Simon Brown, Morrade Hakkar).
I'm not saying Hopkins' reign (and career) isn't superior to that of Calzaghe's - it is. But both presided over fairly ****ty eras of their respective division's.
The greatest difference between the two, though, is that Hopkins ultimately made every possible fight that mattered over the course of his reign, which says a lot considering how much downtime he had due to feuding with various promoters.Comment

One minute fight fans whine about the ALPHABET organizations..then they turn right around and TRY to legitimize yet another ALPHABET orginization.
Pathetic actually.Comment
