This article points out the exact things which make a great fighter great and a good fighter good. Hatton is a good fighter. He had some major flaws exposed badly by a great fighter and he then did nothing about them. His next fight the same thing happened without the brutal KO, but it very nearly was and we wouldn't even be talking about Pac.
Nonetheless, the difference between these fighters is that the great one has that desperate desire to improve and fix his obvious flaws and he will come back better no matter what. Hatton has already had these pointed out to him by a better fighter, but he didn't change a thing. He will only ever be good because he doesn't want to change.Comment

He only defended his IBF twice, and never his WBA title. Those defenses came against some decent fighters but nothing special. To get into the HOF he would have had to beat both Pac and Mayweather. He got knocked out in both, so there is no way he's getting in to the HOF.Comment
