Miguel Cotto Sued By Evangelista For $7.5 Million

The family situation between WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto and his uncle/former trainer Evangelista Cotto has just gotten worse. On Thursday Evangelista filed a lawsuit against his nephew in Puerto Rico, looking to recover $7.5 million dollars in damages. The main claim was a breach of contract. He named Miguel's promotional company in the lawsuit as well. [details]

Why didnt evangelista ask for his extra 23% back in 2004? he's just mad he got fired and beat up and now wants to get back at cotto. as for the claim that cotto attacked his uncle cotto will win cuz the uncle struck him first. self defense.

                Wat happened to FAMILY FIRST

This is sad man wat happened to family first i think if Miguel nd Evangelista sat down they can work this out. I dont think Miguel needs this right now especially with Manny in November.

This could cause Cotto to be willing to go down to a dangerous weight to get the Pac fight. Now him and Mosley both badly need money.

Lets see what happens when it comes out that Evangelista attacked Miguel first. Lawyers will take care of this, I dont think (and hope) that this will not affect Miguel all that much. Very sorry situation for the family though.
