Green been running his mouth about this tourney basically stating he's the best thing since slice bread baby:
So will Green at least be an interested observer of this super middleweight scrum?
"I may watch it," he says. "Me and Andre Dirrell are pretty cool. I may watch his fights. I don't know if I'll watch the whole tournament. But as a fighter, honestly, I will watch the fights and I like to watch boxing, see what happens. But I won’t watch it, thinking, 'OK, OK, let's see what happens, maybe I can fight one of these guys' because I've been told, 'Well, OK, you can fight whoever wins this tournament, yada, yada.' But excuse my French - why the f**k do I want to wait till this long-ass tournament is over to get a fight with one of them guys? Why do I always have to be the guy sitting on the backburner? 'OK, you can wait.' And I can beat any of them. I've been trying to get a big fight forever."
And that not all:
Green, who was close to landing a fight with middleweight king Kelly Pavlik last year, says, "It's almost like I've been blackballed to a degree. And I know my gift is my curse. Being a big, tall, fast super middleweight. A lot of guys aren't going to be interested to fight you. But it's not fair. Boxing is not the same as it used to be. That's why a lot of the fans are starting to stray away because we get these promoters and various networks, when you try and invent guys who really aren't the fighters that you try to make the public out to believe they are, sooner or later, they'll get cat-called, they'll get exposed. A lot of people are shying away from boxing because of that."
And who does Green have winning it all?
“Kessler," is his answer. "I think he's the best super middleweight outside of myself. He wins that tournament."
Look at what this fool say here about Taylor:
"No strike on Taylor but I don't understand why he's in the tournament and I'm not. He's lost three of his last four. And I can't name one super middleweight, let alone six, that are better than me," said the always-confident Green.
I want to answer the above statement by Green, Taylor does have 3 losses but it came against ELITE comp....in 2 of those fights, he was winning on points until his stamina betrayed him. At least Taylor didn't loss to Miranda, who dropped Green like a bad habit....if you look at Green resume, THAT HIS ONLY STEP UP FIGHT AND HE LOST. Abraham knocked Miranda out and Ward decision him....If you can't beat Miranda, you don't deserve to be in the tourney.
Taylor last 10 fight have been against current or former world champion, who is on Green resume? When you fight ELITE fighters, you are bound to loss sooner or later so that " he lost 3 out of his 4 fights" talk is nonsense. I mean knocking out Codrington and getting dropped yourself by Donny McGrary does not get you in this tourney but.....
How would Green fare against...
1. Mikkel Kessler
2. Carl Froch
3. Jermain Taylor
4. Arthur Abraham
5. Andre Ward
6. Andre Dirrell
