I'd gladly step into the ring with the current champions at welterweight with 6 months of training to get my stamina up.
I'd get spanked for a few rounds before being stopped, but I'm a bloody hard puncher so at least I could convince myself that I had a puncher's chance.

Some of the smaller guys like Ricky Hatton and the like would be my only chance as I'm 5'11 and a strong puncher.

I wouldn't mind fighting any of those guys just for the fun of it.

If I had a time machine, I'd fight Hearns. Look at that weak ass chin of his! He'd be an easy night.

          Valuev. Yea that's right.

I'd give him the "al bundy"

Step on his toes then as he reaches down to his toes...give him a ken uppercut.

i would KILL myself to make 140. then although i know hes not currently a world champion, paulie malignaggi. he hits like a girl, and althought he is a good boxer i think he would struggle with my height and reach. im 6'3 & 1/2 and has some long as arms. not to mention i have HW power in both hands.

You make the same money if you are knocked out in 10 seconds as you do getting your ass beat for a couple of rounds.
the thing is, they all say "it'd be over in 4 LMAO" and "oh paulie couldnt handle my reach im 6ft" and ****** **** like that

they dont realise if these guys went hard, it would more likely be over in 4 seconds than 4 rounds, *** man watch gatti in pros vs joes, heres gatti, a dude who is a good fighter but not really known for polished skills, completely clowning on some poor guy and then putting him away at his own convenience. And this is a shot gatti who probably wasnt even training at the time

People in general over-estimate their own abilities no matter what scenario they envision themselves in. This is part of the incredible power of the human ego.

Make no mistake about it, if you do not have ALOT of talent and ALOT of boxing training/fight experience, you are absolutely guaranteed to seek to the floor within a minute against a world class boxer, regardless of reach, height, weight or power advantage within reasonable limits.

I know how to box, I compete in the amateurs. I got royally spanked last season by a guy who won bronze medal in the junior world championship, the fight ended 14-3 after 4 rounds of me trying to find something that wasn't there.
Insane anger, good chin and good power is what got me through 4 rounds with him.
Anger because he nearly punched my head clean off with the first punch he landed (right hook). I went into the "you're dead, come here, *****" mode and went after him.
While I've never experienced taking harder punches from anybody else, I don't think he ever experienced such an "easy target" being so damn persistent and stubborn.
He was very impressed by my determination afterwards, while I wasn't impressed at all.

Later I learned about that bronze medal in the jr. world championship and settled down with the fact that I just didn't stand any chance whatsoever, coming off a 4 year layoff due to a shoulder injury.

It seems to me that most fans of the sport have never boxed at all.
Everyone should try it, even though 92% of you will always suck
