caballero is a stepping stone that juanma MUST fight and defeat to reach a new level. williams isn't a stepping stone to cotto, nor a guy that has 2 belts in WW, nor THE man at WW

They are in no way the same situation.

Caballero vs. Juanma is the biggest fight in the division. It would more or less unify the division and establish a lineal title.

PWill hasn't fought at WW in over a year, and Cotto has a HUGE money fight available. And if that doesn't work out he's got another big money fight available that would also establish a lineal champion at WW.

Say Cotto and Pac can't come to an agreement and Mosley steps in, while Berto and Clottey fight, and Williams and Dzirinuk or w/e his name is don't fight than Williams starts screaming Cotto's name, THEN you may have a point. Until that happens, the two situations are very different.

you know pac, the #1 p4p fighter in the world and the current cash cow called out cotto too? he doesn't have to be a WW to fight cotto. he wants cotto, and cotto clearly deserves more known opponents than williams. he's put himself in a position that is deserving of better money, fame and legacy than whatever williams has to offer at the moment

don't get me wrong, williams is a good fighter and can certainly put himself in a good position to challenge cotto, but he isn't at that position right now, and won't be until he gets AND defends a title at WW or at least at JMW
