I don't think Manny has or ever will put himself along with being a carbon copy of Armstrong, simply because he's not Armstrong. It's like how people were calling Floyd the next Sugar Ray Leonard (which even in today's standards is absurd) when in fact he was just becoming...Floyd Mayweather.

The past is the past, he gets props for the coming up in weight and never stopping Ricky Hatton. However, he is the one who skipped out on lightweight before facing any real challangers there. Apparently he thought it was good enough to just take the WBC paper belt from David Diaz and move on up. No Nate Campbell, Casamayor, Guzman, Juan Diaz....nobody.

That's fine, you don't wanna be a lightweight, you aint looking for jr.welterweight challangers, fine too. But then, stop demanding for natural welterweights to make themselves smaller for you. If he wants to show up at 142, that's his choice, but don't make a Cotto or a Mosley come in at 142 as well.

yea IMO he gets no credit for his lightweight stint, i also disagree with all this catch weight mess if it's welterweight then it's welterweight it's almost like asking for a handicap

Last I checked...it takes two signatures two get a fight signed. "Luring" JMW and WW to lower weights to fight a LW/JWW fighter? Umm...didn't Oscar wantto fight Pacquiao due to Floyd retiring thinking it would be an easy retirement fight and a well paying one? Didn't Hatton sit at ringside for the DLH fight "scouting" out Pacquiao? Isn't Hatton the one who wanted a crack at Pac as he thought he could "bully" the "smaller" fighter?
I agree that Pac should stay in his tru division at JWW, but c'mon...who honestly has a good shot at beating him besides Nate? Everyone one else is either B-Class material, or to young or too old. And that's what the excuses would be if Pac were to ever stay in his own division.
Did you notice how NO ONE in the JWW division is calling Pac out? (Except for Nate). The fighters in the divisions above and below are calling Pac out just for a payday...
