Why do most fans on here have a different ethnic backgrounds to the people they are rooting for? are we to believe they are only doing it because its politically correct ? or could it be they are actually entertained by watching that fighter regardless of his colour?

race should play no part at all im a white brit and id say 8 out of my top 10 boxers are black. id root for whoever i liked at the time eg: taylor over pavlik!

I could not care less about the race of a fighter. I have never at any point liked a fighter because he was white, or rooted against someone because they were not white.

Bull****. Im white, yet most of my favorite fighters are not. I am a fan of the sport first, and the heart of a fighter second. Race has nothing to do with it.

actually im half white half peurto rican..so im mixed...and actually no it doesnt always have to be the same race as you for you to root for them..i also should have pointed out that also nationality has a play in it also..race and nationality doesnt matter to people all the time..but alot of the time it does..i never said im racist..but ill be completely honest with you part of the reason i dont like wladimir klitschko is because he is an eastern european..yes i said it..and atleast i can admit it unlike alot of the people on here..i like carl froch but if an american fighter were to fight him i would root for the american..and im pretty sure im not the only one..just like a british person would most of the time root for froch against an american fighter
