Celestino Caballero Talks: “Juanma, Don’t Be a M*ricón”

Good point, but you do agree that Juanma should at least counter offer the guy. I read some post about making the fight a non unification bout, but who knows if the sanctioning bodies would allow that...Money talks, Caballero can't make a decent fight in US, how will he pay for the sanction fees? Promoters know their business; Celestino beat Ponce de Leon by unanimous decision, Lopez knocked him out in the 1st..
Celestino got knocked out by Jose Rojas in the 3rd and he didn't even chased him up to get even; Jose Rojas got beat up by Chris John and Gamboa.
Juanma and his team should continue with their game plan and if Caballero wants the money train he should follow him until his next stop.Comment

Well, my impression is that nobody here knows what the sanction fees consist of. I see many trash talking from the island and the majority of them haven't even gone to see him fight.
This unification could only be worth to get the Marquez' fight which would be the fight of the year. That whole process will take one more year in this division and since Marquez is letting him go, it's strategically better to go up.
That's the way I see it.Comment

I doubt this fight will go thru, he has too good of a chance to beat Juanma for Arum let it go thru. Maybe if CC was under top rank label, but Arum would never let his fighter take a serious challenge unless it's padding his pockets.
