I think the fight would be at 145 like the de la Hoya fight. Do you know the real reason why Oscar came in at 145 for the Manny fight? It's because the fight was at 145 not 147 as we were led to believe. I read an interview about this on another boxing site.

By your logic, if anybody who beats mayweather is bigger than him it doesnt meaned anything because Mayweather is the smaller fighter. and what you are ultimately asking is for mayweather to fight bigger fighters. Professional Boxing is obviously a very competitive "industry". Every year, hundreds of fighters turn professional, and every year the people who were usually on top of the sport the previous year fall victim to new fighters that intend to take that fighters spot. The number of openings is always growing, and the number of candidates continues to grow every year.

What this means is, If you are on top You need to strike while your rod is hot.
And take advantage of every advantage you have, And do not take a cent less than what you are worth. Because at the end of the day, it is only you who is in the ring, and Boxing dont have social security or a health care plan to fall back on like other Professional sports leagues do.

So what they make now, is what they are going to have to live on when they are old. That is why risk vs. reward in boxing is so important.
Because boxing unlike other sports. Does not have a safety net.

with that said.

Manny would make more money fighting Floyd then anybody else.
