Why didn't some dumb broad kill Floyd Mayweather Jr. instead of Arturo Gatti? Gatti represented everything that was good about boxing, Floyd Jr. avoids every tough fight and is already a babbling idiot like his father: "Is you ready?" WTF is that? I would do a dance in the street if someone walked up to Floyd and shot him in the head point blank. What a ****head!!

I think the fight would be at 145 like the de la Hoya fight. Do you know the real reason why Oscar came in at 145 for the Manny fight? It's because the fight was at 145 not 147 as we were led to believe. I read an interview about this on another boxing site.
if both are confident on winning, they should agree to 50-40 +10.
that is 60-40 already.
floyd will demand it to be at 147...***** as he is.
freddie would say 144... as in the marquez fyt.
arum will have to abide by manny's decision.
145 was the contracted weight in the oscar fyt.
i know that for sure ever since.....i wasn't led to believe otherwise.

ever since manny beat hatton he has been quoted several times not only in philippine publications but also in various western sites as wanting to fight floyd. for some reason floyd is using selective reading.
even roach wanted the floyd fight for manny. why sign up for the maruqez fight? all he had to do was wait one day.

manny pacquiao just demolished the two best wins in Mayweather's career and he did it in simple fashion... not to mention he is fighting Miguel Cotto.
If Manny Pacquiao wins the Cotto fight, which I don't think he does... but hypothetically, he should get the bigger cut.
Mayweather's win against a much smaller Marquez is nothing in comparison to what Pacquiao has done recently or if he beat Miguel Cotto.
That "peoples champ" **** is just a bunch of bull**** you using to justify Floyd's argument. Whoever has done more deserves more, simple as that.
Manny is not being greedy, he is just asking for what is fair and what he deserves.
So What..! Mayweather already Fought and became the lineal champion of that division. Meaning he proved what he had to prove in the time while he was there. Cant change facts.

Styles makes fights, and every fight is different.
Marvin Hagler beat Tommy Hearns better than Sugar Ray Leonard did.
But what did that mean when they fought?
this is boxing... you should understand the dynamics by now

By your logic, if anybody who beats mayweather is bigger than him it doesnt meaned anything because Mayweather is the smaller fighter. and what you are ultimately asking is for mayweather to fight bigger fighters. What is the point of mayweather fighting bigger fighters if it is not fair for small fighters to fight big fighters. Kind of ironic how logic works.

Right, And I somewhat agree with this statement but from a different point of view. I agree fighters should get with they deserve.
Professional Boxing is obviously a very competitive "industry". Every year, hundreds of fighters turn professional, and every year the people who were usually on top of the sport the previous year fall victim to new fighters that intend to take that fighters spot. The number of openings is always growing, and the number of candidates continues to grow every year.
What this means is, If you are on top You need to strike while your rod is hot.
And take advantage of every advantage you have, And do not take a cent less than what you are worth. Because at the end of the day, it is only you who is in the ring, and Boxing dont have social security or a health care plan to fall back on like other Professional sports leagues do.
So what they make now, is what they are going to have to live on when they are old. That is why risk vs. reward in boxing is so important.
Because boxing unlike other sports. Does not have a safety net.
with that said.
Manny would make more money fighting Floyd then anybody else.
the same cant be said about Mayweather.
Mayweather can make 15 million min. fighting anybody.
example with this upcoming Marquez fight.
So IMO Manny should take the lesser of the cut and get a career payday and fight this fight for the fans.Last edited by Horus; 07-15-2009, 03:43 AM.

you have lost your mind. that 15 million guarantee is only held up if they reach a certain number of buys.
Now if u can post the actual hbo guaranteed contract i will gladly admit my mistake. until then that is a sensational opinion.

plus Manny is a humble guy from the Phillip. He should just take the less split and fight this fight for the fans.
Or should we change his name to Manny "Money" Pacquiao
that monicker is taken.... "Money May" it is.
but lately it's a-changing to......"no-money may"
some said he's broke....

Ok let me call Mark Taffet at HBO and tell him to fax me over Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez Personal information and the copy of their agreement so I can prove a already proven agreement which has been confirmed by every boxing insider in the sport to a boxingscene poster.
right I will get right on that.
