my fault... prime Duran? i think im going with hands of stone, Gatti did posses boxing ability but even if he tried to apply it, Duran would eventually drag him into a slugfest.... and we all know it wouldnt take much for Gatti to slugComment

Yeah, he has a win over SRL at Welterweight - so he can certainly adjust to the weight.
Like I said, I've never said Gatti was a bad boxer. But he didn't posses the skills and talent to beat Duran and Pacman.
Plus, a lot of people make threads about other ****** match-ups and I just don't understand why?Comment

Word 'em up.
I fell for the Gatti trap as well. I used to think he was super tight cus he had tremendous heart. But the more i looked into it, he didn't need to block all those punches with his face. In a good majority of his fights, he would start to box, but then he'd end up wit a slug fest.
I definately don't think he was a great fighter either...just a really really good fighter. However, the "Trilogy" was a great epic, but i think that might be his only chapter in history. His other opportunity was against Mayweather, but he was brutally exposed in that fight.
It's always unfortunate when a boxer falls. He will be missed as a boxer and a person, but i don't think i would go out of my way to pay for a Gatti fight.

Yup,seen Gatti ko someone with a broken hand, while boxing!!That said,at 135,Gatti had a punchers chance against anyone!!He'd still lose 99% of the time to Duran and maybe Pac,but they would know they been in a fight!!Comment

People can talk all the **** they want, but I'll tell you this much. When Gatti fought at 147, a division he clearly couldnt handle, he sure didnt ask for any punk ass catchweights. He just got in there, tried his best, and let the chips fall where they may.......Comment
