The man is a for sure HOF'er because of his heart and "never say die" attitude...dude had 4 "fight of the year" fights...win or lose thats one hell of a fighter...won 2 titles...the man was a great...give him some respect

None of what you've said there really applies to my opinion though.

Yes, he did have balls of steel and was fearless. Yes, it would have been a great fight if he did fight Duran or Pac in his prime.

But the point of this thread is that he'd never beat them and it's ****** to compare such a warrior to boxers with so much class. I think it's unfair to say Gatti could beat either of those.

Is everyone missing the point of the thread.

The point of this thread isn't his unmatched heart or how fearless he was. The point is that it's not fair to compare him to fighters that are ATGs.
