Well I wouldn't call him the true champ from1 47-160. But you come across a little hater-ish when you say the 12th round of Margarito-Williams was a toss-up. Yeah he lost Quintana...and then blew him out of the ring. Big deal.

that's pretty much how it went down...

He shouldn't be annointed anything with one good win over an old Verno Phillips (althought the stoppage was impressive) until he actually fights the fights. A number of guys said they'll fight him, so when he whups their ass, then we can claim him to be great.

People need to chill with the Quintana shi t. It was obviously a fluke, he was listless and distinterested. He blasted Quintanta out- so that loss is avenged. He just pounded a much better lefty so its the past.

      what he said

Better than a prime undefeated jermaine Taylor????
        Are you serious

since when has beating up an old past prime (good defensive) fighter been better than beating a PRIME undefeated Champ that beat your winky ?

        hahahha

Williams can't even successfully defend a belt. So who's the real fraud?

Verno Phillips and Vernon Forrest, make it happen. Their first names are too damn similar.

doubles and triples the jab and can throw every punch and you dont see the big deal.

Put ur boy Cotto in there with this machine and paul will shred his ass.
Maybe you missed the 10 and 11 rounds against margs when he was getting backed up and tony stunned him 2 times

he is decent but has not been tested yet
the wright fight was a great step up in comp but he needs more
he needs to knock people out for fans to want to see him.
                he brings nothing.

take Iron Mike Tyson for example
everyone and I mean everyone wanted to fight him cause he would make them a fat check
yeah they knew "**** Im gonna get my arse kicked" but it was worth the money
with paul you get slapped to death and for no money
                he is not hurting anyone
just beating them on points if that

Well like i said my memory of how each round went is not great i just knew Williams was up by one or something and squeezed out a win. I probably do come of as hater-ish can you blame me when people are calling "Williams the true champ from 147-160" "rest are frauds" many of which from WW im big fans of.

I understand where you're coming from. But I will say this - it's possible to win close but clear.

neither guy was hurt that night......williams may have tired a lil....

it was a good fight, but i remember watching, saying, "these guys are both throwing a lot of punches, but none of the punches have any heat on them."
