because theres not as much quality in the HW division and there is already an established champ

the SMW's are a bit of a strange division because they have so many good fighters each holding belts

i love the robin round format as well it means that we the fans get to see more high quality fights between the best. an elimination style tourney does have a bit of extra ****eto it but fans of a certain fighter can turn around and say that their fighter was against a trickier style.

the robin round format gets rid of the 'styles make fights' excuse and pits the best against the best.

I thibnk it is great and that one organization should run these types of tournaments in the future for every Weight Class. Maybe the Ring could do it and put up a Ring Belt for this type of Tourney. in the case like this where there is no said Champion...We as fans get to see a whole list of great fights every few months or so from now until 2011....Showtime is genious for helping put this together....Lefty
