I saw it recently too, it was sorta sad. Ortiz stood toe to toe but never really did anything attack wise. Then when he was attacked he just covered up. Ive only seen a couple fights but it seems whoever attacks first usually wins...
Konstantin, Ortiz was scared of Liddel. They used to be training partners and one day during training Liddel dropped Ortiz with a liver shot. After that Ortiz has always had it in the back of his mind. Ortiz was scared to let something go for fear of getting blasted again.
Its really a shame too. Ortiz has excellent skills. He trains with Ferando Vargas sometimes and he hits like a truck, e****ally on the ground. He is the phyiscaly strongest fighter at 205 and he and Couture have cardio that puts everyone else to shame. Ortiz just isn't as good as Randy and he is afraid of Chuck.
i like watching mma but i dont really follow it. the last fight i seen was with some dude named cro-cop? i dont if that is mma or k1 or whatever but he knocked the guy out.
I like it except when fighters go to the ground and do more wrestling than actual fighting. I dig it when they go brawling at each other while on their feet.
Yeah a rematch would be awesome...I still think Penn would own Hughes again in my opinion...I also like when Penn knocked the **** out of Caol Uno in like 20 seconds-that was a devestating combo...Uno looked like a rag doll getting hit with free shots.
I think Hughes will get him if they meet again but probably not easily. He's strong as a mule and pretty well versed on the ground despite his showing in the first fight. He's got alot of pride and I'm betting he shows it next time.
