Unfortunately the media doesn't take much interest in boxing unless their is a heavyweight to talk about. It is ridiculous, but true. Mayweather fights get coverage so this will at least get talked about.

        I streamed UFC 100........

It was a good show..two good main event fights with GSP..then Brocks fight.

        BUT.......

The UFC has along way to go..It will never be as big as boxing...

        Brock made 500,000 dollars..........

        Floyds making 15,000,000 dollars.

Great undercard and hype around it.

          That's what boxing lacks nowadays.

Great main events but bull**** undercards.

Blame the promoters, they can do it but choose not to.
Check the tubes for the prelim fights. Those were awesome as well. Especially Jon "Bones" Jones.

Brock Lesnar is more exciting than Floyd....plus he has more fans. Floyd needs superstars to sell.

One of the biggest payrolls in UFC history!

                  - The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the UFC 100 fighter salaries today. The event, which drew a gate of $5.1 million, had a total disclosed payroll of $1,790,000. This does not include $400,000 in fight night bonuses that were handed out after the event. The disclosed payouts are below, but it should be noted that Lesnar and St. Pierre also earn a portion of the pay-per-view revenue. It is estimated that Brock Lesnar will make in the neighborhood of $3 million after PPV revenue and sponsor money are factored in.
                  * Jon Fitch: $90,000 (includes $45,000 win bonus)
                  def. Paulo Thiago: $8,000

                  * Brock Lesnar: $400,000 (no win bonus)
                  def. Frank Mir: $45,000

Thats fine..but what Im saying is It wont be as BIG as boxing...ever in history.

                  Compare the two biggest fights......

                  UFC

                  Brock vs. Fedor

                  vs.

                  Boxing

                  Mayweather vs. Pacman

                  Which selss more?

Floyd vs JMM will be going H2H with UFC that day. They will be having a PPV also that same exact day.

Ill be watching my boy Floyd of course. Might even go to the fight. But ill order the UFC to more than likely.

Buying PPVs aren't going to make the sport any more popular. We actually need to root against these PPVs so they go away. If PPV goes away fighters wont be expecting such huge paydays. You will get fighters fighting more often and better fights can be made with budgets not being killed(Chad Dawson makes 3 million a fight!). Boxing has to go back to its roots and not be so much about the business side of it.
