while the tournament could be a good turnaround for JT
I don't think he's good enough to hang with the best
**and wasn't it reported on boxingscene a couple months back or so
about Taylor getting arrested for acting out drunk in his car while in Florida
IMO Jermain isn't mentally ready to go back in their vs the best of the best again
if Abraham doesn't get him, Kessler will.Comment

Tell me please, in what fight Abraham wins the first rounds?
He`s "sleeping" behind his block for irst 3-4 rounds and then explodes! And so far such dangerous tactic works for him!
P.S. I never really liked Jermain, because he was gifted two wins over my favorite Hopkins! But i was shocked, with guts he showed in the 12th round of Froch fight! I respect him much more now! I wish him good luck in the tournament!Comment

This is really good for the sport of boxing
This is a brilliant idea. I'm reading some of the posts and I have to throw my thoughts on this tournament. I think ultimately the winner of this tournament is going to be Kessler Or Arthur Abraham. I think Froch has virtually no chance of winning this tournament I think he is highly over rated (as is the case with most British boxers). Ultimately it's a fantastic idea. The real question in my mind is weather froch is going to go make it past the first round of the tournament. I am not prejudice toward British fighters I just think Ricky Hatton and Froch are in the same league. B- Fighters who have enormous fan bases. Well to say Froch is a B- fighter is probably pushing the bar. His win over Taylor I thought the first time watching it "okay, he faced some serious adversity I have a good amount of respect for him". Then hearing him in the after fight interview he called out Joe Calzaghe. At this point I had to pause the event rewind look the fight over. Froch did not win this fight in fact taylor lost the fight. Everyone knows taylor gassed out then he was prime picking. In my mind the question isn't how many tournament rounds is Froch going to make it threw before he gets stopped. It's going to be in which round is he going to get stopped in the first fight!

How can Froch be overrated? He's an Undefeated World Champion with wins over Pascal and Taylor, and he doesn't get any credit from a lot of people anyway!
And I wish people would stop saying Taylor lost the fight instead of Froch won it. Yeah Taylor lost because he got hit flush in the face with a load of punches, knocked down and battered to a standstill. That's Froch winning it, and if Taylor can't fight for 12 rounds then tough ****, cos that's how long a fight lasts.
And can you explain why he's going to get stopped in the first fight? He's an open fighter yes, but that's because his chin is solid and he's only been down once in his entire career (including the amateurs) and wasn't hurt.
Of course you're prejudiced towards British fighters, just as I am the opposite in defending them. Hatton was a Lineal champion, he beat Tzsyu, Castillo etc and that made him not only A level but top 10 P4P regardless of what you think. As Froch is an undefeated World Champion i'm not sure how you make him B level either?
Froch and Kessler in the final of this tournament, and I wouldn't like to call a winner. Regardless of who wins it's a great event for boxing and the match ups look really tasty
