Yes, as a matter of fact it does make Tito a middlewight, BEING THAT HE WAS A MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!

Pacquiao wasn't a champion at 147 dumbass, it's not even comparable. Pacquiao didn't even weigh 147 pounds, he weighed 142.
oscar and tito are natural welterweights. big welterweights but welterweights nonetheless.

    look at their frames.

okay so since ray leonard won a light heavyweight belt , that means he's a light heavyweight.

roy is a heavyweight then. if pac can beat cotto , history will remember him as a welterweight then.

    gotcha. you're smart.

I don't know about putting him in the top 10, but you can't deny that's he's one of the best that boxing has had to offer.

Hopkins was a head of his time in many ways. In the 90's fighters had very little control of their own destinies and hopkins was out to change that, and rightfully so. Hopkins also fought very hard for, and was, an advocate for fighters' rights and even testified before Congress in support of the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act by which he made many enemies within the boxing industry (he was one of the few active fighters that had the balls to testify).

And to call it a jailbird mentality is ridiculous...would you say the same about Marvin Hagler who also fought the boxing establishment for much of his career??

please man he could have taken on the establishment all he wanted, but hopkins before the king tournament was nobody...he lost to jones in '93 and fought in obscurity at joints like the blue horizon for chump change....nobody paid him any attention and nobody was clamoring for a jones rematch, so him crowing about corruption at that time was going to fall on deaf ears simply because his name didn't carry any weight...

these days, the only time you hear hopkins crowing about corruption is when he loses to a fighter of equal size and talent (taylor 2x, Calzaghe)...

in the end, hopkins turned out to be no different than any other overpaid superstar athlete...didn't he say he was content fighting the donald ducks of boxing as long as he got his millions?

              Oscar was natural at 154.

Tito was NOT natural at 147 anymore, he couldn't make weight even if he tried because he grew out of the division (think cotto at 140). Tito fit 160 perfectly fine, which is why he was a 7-1 favorite to beat Hopkins.

If you grow out of your weight, you're no longer naturally in that weight.

Is pacquiao a natural 130 pound fighter? No, pacquiao is a natural 135/140 pound fighter, because he grew into this weight as the years progressed. Same goes for Tito and countless others.

okay so since ray leonard won a light heavyweight belt , that means he's a light heavyweight.
Horrible example because that belt he won was a sham. He wasn't even a light heavyweight.

A better example is to say since leonard become middleweight champ, does that make him a middleweight fighter since he spent most of his career at 147. And the answer is obviously YES.

              roy is a heavyweight then.
Another horrible example because Roy's heavyweight fight was a one time thing, against the worst heavyweight champ, quite possibly of all time.

Again, a better example is to ask if Roy Jones is a legit light heavy, since he spent much of his career at 160 and 168 and the answer is obviously yes.

Probably not since the fight wont happen unless it's at a catchweight of some sort. In addition pac has already gone up a million weight classes.

              you're smart.
Much smarter than you when it comes to boxing history.

lol, just because you say so right? Well unfortunately for you the majority of people disagree with you.

And you still haven't logically explained how he's overrated. All you can say is Roy Jones is better and that he fought two supposedly welterweights (even though they clearly weren't) out of 56 fights.

What do you think about Marvin Hagler? His two biggest wins were over Tommy Hearns (welterweight) and Roberto Duran (best work at 135). And he lost to a welterweight in SRL.

Do you apply the same criticism towards Hagler as you do hopkins? If not, then it's clear you're out just to hate on bhop.
