No, he is now were near there skill level but staning at 7.2
      and 320 pounds.
With 40 wins no losses and 30 by ko. I believe this man would be a test for anybody.

I think he is ranked nr 10 by the wba

I haven't seen Valuev fight yet, but if you're referring to Vlad....He's actually much more talented than his brother Vitali, and if he hadn't had his confidence blown out against Sanders, he'd be a major force to be reckoned with in the division today. His problem is that he's young, and wasn't ready for someone to attack him like Sanders did, and it ruined him, at least for now, and maybe even permanently. I hope that, after he gets a few more years on him, he'll mature mentally, regain his confidence, and be ready to make a big, sweeping comback. Only time will tell. But until (or unless) he gets his confidence back, he won't have a chin....a fighter might have confidence and no chin, but a fighter will never have a chin without self confidence.

To have him fight someone from top 10, someone from top 10 must agree to fight him. I don't think anyone from top 10 is willing to take a chance against a 7' 320 pounds behemoth, you never know. I've seen a few of Valuev's fights, he doesn't have a huge power but he throws a lot of punches and can do that for 12 rounds. He is also very hard to get to. Everyone is right on one thing , he needs to get in there with top 10 to test himself. By the way, I read that he only had something like 30 amat. fights before turning pro.

From what I've heard, he'll make some good money but will never be a big player in the division. Apparently he has a faulty chin which is the kiss of death for a heavyweight of that size. If you are a little agile guy with a great defense you can get by with a bum chin but when you have no mobility you're going to get tagged with a big shot eventually.
