lucia rijker is a true fighter, she would outbox laila Ali anyday....Laila Ali has the talent but she needs to work a little bit harder, i dont believe she trains that seriously, i saw her gym on T.V and it looked like a five star hotel room with a ring instead of a bed.

Women's boxing in general is a very sad state of affairs. That having been said, I like Laila Ali. However, Lucia Rijker is the only real female boxer I've seen, and she would definitely kick Laila's ass.

somebody had responded that womens boxing is right where it should be, an amatuer sport. I could not agree more when looking at most of the woman. But since when did the cable networks begin airing basically amatuer athletes as professionals. I think that it would better suit the womens boxing if they would quit airing these bouts, its comical at times with their skill levels. Get these woman back in the amatuers were they could learn the skills needed to ply the trade as a professional. Lucia Rijker, you have no part in the words that i just spoke, you stand head and shoulders above anybody i have seen. A bout with Rijker/Ali could be decieving, only because of the great difference in size. I do believe that lucia would pull the bout out with her superior skill and conditioning.

On a side note there is one little lady to look for in the future. Her name is Latonya King boxing of of Kronk in Detroit. I have judged/reffed a few of her bouts and she is really developing into an impressive little fighter.....Rockin'

laila is a MEDIOCRE amateur and her attitude "i do it just like dady" is just plain ridiculous.

i went to a world championship and there was a women fight on the undercard , a french girl call myriam lammare against an american girl.

the fench won , and the fight was a real boxing fight , i must admit.

still , i just cant applaud when a woman is taking a bodyshot or rolls on the floor bleeding.

What is it with womens boxing? What is it that makes the networks believe that we would rather watch a couple of slightly skilled amatuer women, at best, box as professionals rather than a couple of fighters who have taken the time to learn the game in the amatuers and then progressed into the professional game.

not to mention most female fighters are ugly lesbians

except that chick that was in the studio with brian last week on FNF....she was hawt, but could be a lesbian, i dont know

Nonsense. Two women in a fight disgusts me, and I have to break it up. Luckily, I've only had to do this a few times (and only one of these fights were over me, sadly). Only once did I not bother, and it was between a pair of big, fat black women in a Wal Mart on the "Day after Thanksgiving sale" over some article of clothing that was the last one on the shelf.....a man should never get involved in an argument between women at a clothing sale.

I remember the first time i seen Liala, I was all excited I heard she was so good. Then i was so unimpressed it disgusted me. Im sorry im no sexist but women truely arent as good at boxing as men.
