I do think a lot of Abraham's style includes waiting. The reason being when on his homecourt he knows he can't lose a decision. It'll be a different ballgame if he has to fight somewhere else. He generally finds himself winning by stoppage but it will be a lot harder if he doesn't already have the auto decision on the backburner.

He was never behind in a fight from a neutral standpoint at the time of his wins except for his rematch with Miranda...AA is just about confidence - you need to take away his confidence to beat him...even fighting on foreign soil it hasn't worked yet (see also his rematch with Miranda)...I do think a lot of Abraham's style includes waiting. No he's never behind but i think he recieves a mental boost just knowing he can't lose a decision. Also, I think his opponents are at a mental disadvantage knowing they have to stop him. Especially, since his turtle shell will generally rule out his stoppage. Maybe I'm wrong about him not being able to lose a decision but I have great difficulty seeing that happen. He was never behind in a fight from a neutral standpoint at the time of his wins except for his rematch with Miranda...AA is just about confidence - you need to take away his confidence to beat him...even fighting on foreign soil it hasn't worked yet (see also his rematch with Miranda)...Comment

It borders on ****** that he uses that waiting game as a tactic and consciously gives away rounds.Comment

I think his power has a lot to do with it too.
He's got a one punch eraser.
and he's knocked guys into oblivion with really short right hands on the ropes.
I think if someone forces him to fight, and isn't bothered by his power (haven't really seen that yet), he will definitely have to fight more and take less time off.
I think his power makes him kind of passive at times because he figures when he lets it go, they will back off anyways.
Won't be as easy at 68, I say.Comment

Ward is too fast and AA is too passive. Ward isnt going to brawl with AA hes going to use his speed on the outside and tie up on the inside. Ward UDComment

I think he's somewhat passive cause he has the power but also b/c he can usually assume a HFA on the cards.. But also, I believe he's being conservative with his endurance. His stocky build does not appear to lend itself to good endurance. Maybe it was because he was barely making 160 but I don't expect his workrate to increase thaat much with his move to SMW.I think his power has a lot to do with it too.
