This is cancellation yr. Easy to be shook about some of these fights.

2 of the most fragile guys in boxing. They'll better keep the training camp short

Neither of them have fought in a while so it's not surprising. With Vitali's history of injuries and Haye recently pulling out of the Wladimir Klitschko fight, there's surely a chance of this fight being cancelled/post-poned however.

Yeah I hope so but I've been following this sport for a while now & it's hard to find a-listers going up against each other at such short notice. We know Haye will already be in great shape from his training camp for Wlad so I can only assume Vitali is literally kicking off his camp any day now.

If the fight isn't announced within the next fortnight though it aint happening on this date.

Too soon? I doubt it, unless you mean Haye is taking on too tough an opponent too soon, and is going to get beaten like cheap rug.

We are now placing bets on who will be first to pull out with an injury!

hayes stays in shape all year round, hes very professional, likes to train and thinks of himself in athlete terms which means not abusing the body and not blowing up in weight. the injury imo was just a smokescreen, i dont think many people would have taken on the HW champ for free, setanta going into adminstration really did throw a spanner in the works.

as for vitali, i worry about such a close date for him. september is too soon, he might try too much too early in the camp and end up injuring himself.

but the date didn't seem to be an issue during negotiations, during negotiations i think vitali would have had the upper hand so maybe he did set the date and thinks it is fine. on the other hand maybe haye wanted a fight as soon as possible knowing he was in good condition and needed to fight.

i think we'll have a better idea as the fight nears, normally you do get rumours about fighters not looking up to scratch etc (e.g. DLH vs pacman)

I won't believe this fight is happening til I hear the bell ring.

I was abit sceptical as well, Because it seem there would be less time to build up this fight...The Wlad/Haye fight already has the whole build up thing going.
