This actually is a pretty good gage as to how big the UFC really is. It's the 100th event so every UFC fan will buy and some casual fans will too. With That being said I think it does around 1.2-1.3 Million PPV buys. If it does that and can't eclipse Boxing's top 5 it will show UFC really isn't as big as White,Rogan and the rest of the UFC fan boys think it is. The question is UFC has it's anniversary show with it's biggest names so what happens if it doesn't eclipse 1.5 Million PPV? They'd be hard pressed to do that kinda business again unless they have a gimmick like UFC 200.

I agree completely, I can't wait to hear how the PPV numbers do.

19 years in business..... boxing has 100. its reasonable enough to say that if they can't crack Boxing top 5, its because it's still a young sport.

Cuz it's a young sport? HUH? True Boxing been around alot longer but if u look at Boxing's top 10 all-time PPV's, I don't see any from that long ago do u? My point is this UFC being this huge sport and it's killing Boxing is all just hype. This is there best card, with there biggest names and it's there 1ooth show so for them its the biggest show ever. So if it can't eclipse 1.5 Million PPV I think it would show that it really ain't as big as some think.

I think I understand what you mean. Im not totally sure though. You mean, that is isn't as big as people are hyping it up to be at the moment? Or do you mean that if it can't eclipse 1.5mill then it wont go far?

Im just saying it's new so it get's all the hype an all I hear is it's killing Boxing,it better than Boxing,in 10 years Boxing will cease to exist blah, blah, blah! If this UFC can't eclipse 1.5Million PPV on it's strongest show, with the biggest names and it's anniversary show. Then how could it be as big as some people say it is? After this what is next for UFC? I mean this is a gauge as to how big it really is. Now if it does 2.4 PPV like DLH-May or it the vacinity then hey i guess it deserves the hype it getting but if can't break 1.5 PPV with it's strongest show then how could it be killing or be bigger than Boxing?

in terms of recent events, UFC 91 and 92 were both 1+ million buys and UFC 94 was I think around 800k-900k. With UFC 100 being their biggest event, I imagine it'll be the highest selling UFC PPV too

We'll never know. Official numbers are never released, and Dana White is known to round up.
